Article 195 › 2

As soon as the Office has received a notification of an international registration designating the Union, the Office shall transmit a copy thereof to the central industrial property office of each Member State which has informed the Office of its decision to operate a search in its own register of trade marks as provided for in Article 43(2) provided that a request for a search report, pursuant to Article 43(2), is made to the Office within one month of the date of notification and the search fee is paid within the same period.
