3. The granting of EU type-approvals exempting new technologies or new concepts shall be subject to the authorisation by the Commission. The Commission shall adopt implementing acts to decide whether to grant the authorisation referred to in the first subparagraph of this paragraph. Those implementing acts shall be adopted in accordance with the examination procedure referred to in Article 83(2).
