(51) Products and services falling within the scope of this Directive do not automatically fall within the scope of Council Directive 93/42/EEC Council Directive 93/42/EEC of 14 June 1993 concerning medical devices (OJ L 169, 12.7.1993, p. 1). . However, some assistive technologies which are medical devices, might fall within the scope of that Directive.
