Directive (EU) 2019/2162 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on the issue of covered bonds and covered bond public supervision and amending Directives 2009/65/EC and 2014/59/EU (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

By 8 July 2024, after commissioning and receiving a study assessing the risks and benefits arising from covered bonds with extendable maturity structures and after consulting EBA, the Commission shall adopt a report and shall submit that study and that report to the European Parliament and to the Council, together with a legislative proposal, if appropriate.
