The Commission shall, no later than 12 January 2029, and thereafter where appropriate, submit a report to the European Parliament and to the Council on the potential threat to sources of water intended for human consumption from microplastics, pharmaceuticals and, if necessary, other contaminants of emerging concern, and on the relevant associated potential health risks.
