Synergies with the Internal Security Fund and the instrument for border management as part of the Integrated Border Management Fund shall ensure that: the R&I needs in the areas of security and integrated border management are identified and established through the Programme's strategic planning; the Internal Security Fund and the Integrated Border Management Fund support the deployment of innovative new technologies and solutions, in particular those resulting from the framework programmes for R&I in the field of security research.
