As part of the reporting referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2, the MDSSG may provide recommendations on measures that the Commission, Member States, medical device manufacturers, notified bodies and other entities could take to prevent or mitigate actual or potential shortages of medical devices. For the purposes of the first subparagraph, the MDSSG shall liaise, where relevant, with the MDCG, with the HSC and with any other relevant advisory committee on public health emergencies established pursuant to Union law.
