The MDSSG, on its own initiative or at the request of the Commission, may provide recommendations on measures that the Commission, Member States, manufacturers of medical devices, notified bodies and other entities could take to ensure preparedness for dealing with actual or potential shortages of medical devices caused by public health emergencies.
