The MSSG, on its own initiative or at the request of the Commission or a Member State, may provide recommendations on measures that the Commission, Member States, marketing authorisation holders, representatives of healthcare professionals and other entities could take to ensure preparedness for dealing with actual or potential shortages of medicinal products caused by public health emergencies or major events.
