(55) The EU4Health Programme established by Regulation (EU) 2021/522 or the Recovery and Resilience Facility established by Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and of the Council Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 February 2021 establishing the Recovery and Resilience Facility (OJ L 57, 18.2.2021, p. 17). are some of the tools to provide additional support to national competent authorities in relation to shortages of medicinal products, including through the implementation of actions to mitigate shortages of medicinal products and improve the security of supply. Member States should be able to request financial support from the Union specifically for the implementation of their obligations set out in this Regulation.
