Regulation (EU) 2022/2371 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 November 2022 on serious cross-border threats to health and repealing Decision No 1082/2013/EU (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

1. In order to address serious cross-border threats to health and the consequences thereof, this Regulation lays down rules on: the Health Security Committee (HSC); prevention, preparedness and response planning, including; preparedness plans at Union and national levels; and reporting and assessing preparedness at national level; joint procurement of medical countermeasures; emergency research and innovation; epidemiological surveillance and monitoring; the network for epidemiological surveillance; the Early Warning and Response System (EWRS); risk assessment; coordination of response; and recognition of a public health emergency at Union level.
