Recital 40
(40) In order to avoid an administrative burden and the duplication of efforts, overlap of reporting and reviewing activities with existing structures and mechanisms for prevention, preparedness and response planning and implementation at national level in relation to serious cross-border threats to health should be avoided as far as possible. To that end, Member States should not be requested to report data and information if already required by the Commission or other Union agencies and bodies, pursuant to applicable Union legislation. In addition, the Union should further enhance its cooperation with the WHO, in particular under the IHR reporting, monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
