(22) The EU ETS should contribute significantly to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from maritime activities and to increasing efficiency in relation to such activities. The use of EU ETS revenues pursuant to Article 10(3) of Directive 2003/87/EC should include, inter alia, the promotion of climate-friendly transport and public transport in all sectors.
