Member States shall ensure that the creditor, in the event of early repayment, is entitled to fair and objectively justified compensation for possible costs directly linked to the early repayment, provided that the early repayment falls within a period of time for which the borrowing rate is fixed. The compensation referred to in the first subparagraph shall not exceed 1 % of the amount of credit subject to early repayment where the period of time between the early repayment and the agreed date of termination of the credit agreement exceeds one year. Where that period does not exceed one year, the compensation shall not exceed 0,5 % of the amount of credit subject to early repayment.
