Recital 19
(19) In line with Directive 2014/17/EU and Directive (EU) 2023/2225 of the European Parliament and of the Council (13), Member States can apply those Directives, in accordance with Union law, to areas not covered by their scope. Therefore, it should be clarified that Member States can apply Article 14(6) of Directive 2014/17/EU to credit agreements, despite the fact that such agreements are exempted from the scope of that Directive by Article 3(2) thereof. Similarly, it should be clarified that Member States can apply Articles 26 and 27 of Directive (EU) 2023/2225 to credit agreements, despite the fact that such agreements are exempted from the scope of that Directive by Article 2(2) thereof.
