Member States shall give consumers and other interested parties the opportunity to submit complaints to the competent authorities on product safety, on surveillance and control activities related to specific products as well as on instances where remedies offered to consumers in the case of product recalls are not satisfactory. Such complaints shall be followed up appropriately. The competent authorities shall provide the complainant with appropriate information on the follow-up, in accordance with national law.
