Article 40 › 1

A notified body shall inform the notifying authority of the following: (a) any refusal, restriction, suspension or withdrawal of an EU type-examination certificate, quality system approval decision or unit verification certificate; (b) any circumstances affecting the scope of, or the conditions for, its notification; (c) any request for information which it has received from market surveillance authorities regarding its conformity assessment activities; (d) on request, any conformity assessment activities performed within the scope of its notification and any other activity performed, including cross-border activities and subcontracting.
