REGULATION (EU) 2023/1542 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 12 July 2023 concerning batteries and waste batteries, amending Directive 2008/98/EC and Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 and repealing Directive 2006/66/EC (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

Conformity assessment of batteries with requirements laid down in Articles 7 and 8 shall be carried out in accordance with one of the following procedures: (a) ‘Module D1 – Quality assurance of the production process’ set out in Part B of Annex VIII for batteries manufactured in series; or (b) ‘Module G – Conformity based on unit verification’ set out in Part C of Annex VIII for batteries not manufactured in series.
