(13) None of the provisions of this Directive should be understood as imposing any obligations on natural persons that would prejudice the right not to incriminate oneself and to remain silent, as enshrined in Article 7 of Directive (EU) 2016/343 of the European Parliament and of the Council (10), for the Member States bound by it, and in Article 48 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union (the ‘Charter’).
