DIRECTIVE (EU) 2024/2853 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 23 October 2024 on liability for defective products and repealing Council Directive 85/374/EEC (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

The measures referred to in paragraph 2 shall be: (a) limited to specific categories of products; (b) justified by public interest objectives; and (c) proportionate in that they are suitable for securing the attainment of the objectives pursued and do not go beyond what is necessary to attain those objectives.
