Reference method for the sampling and measurement of NO3 -, SO4 2-, Cl-, NH4 +, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+ in PM2,5 in ambient air The reference method for the sampling of NO3 -, SO4 2-, Cl-, NH4 +, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+ in PM2,5 in ambient air is that described in EN 12341:2023 ‘Ambient Air – Standard gravimetric measurement method for the determination of the PM10 or PM2,5 mass concentration of suspended particulate matter’. The reference method for the measurement of NO3 -, SO4 2-, Cl-, NH4 +, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+ in PM2,5 in ambient air is that described in EN 16913:2017 ‘Ambient air – Standard method for measurement of NO3 -, SO4 2-, Cl-, NH4 +, Na+, K+, Mg2+, Ca2+ in PM2,5 as deposited on filters’.
