Article 47

Regulation (EU) 2024/1157 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 11 April 2024 on shipments of waste, amending Regulations (EU) No 1257/2013 and (EU) 2020/1056 and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1013/2006 (Text with EEA relevance) · European Union

1. In case of exports from the Union, Member States shall take all the measures necessary to ensure that legal and natural persons under their national jurisdiction do not export waste in cases where the conditions laid down in Articles 39 to 46 for such export are not met or where exported waste is not managed in an environmentally sound manner in accordance with Article 59. 2. Where Member States are in possession of reliable information indicating that natural or legal persons exporting waste from the Union are not complying with their obligations under Article 46 they shall carry out the necessary verifications.
