(25) In particular, Decision (CFSP) 2024/1470 lays down the rules on how the net profits ensuing from the unexpected and extraordinary revenues accruing to central securities depositories as a result of the implementation of the prohibition laid down in Article 1a(4) of Decision 2014/512/CFSP and Article 5a(4) of Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 should be directed to support Ukraine and its recovery and reconstruction as well as its self-defence against Russia’s war of aggression, consistent with applicable contractual obligations, and in accordance with Union and international law, in coordination with partners.
