Recital 82

(82) In order to enable economic operators to demonstrate, and competent authorities to verify, that products made available on the market comply with the ecodesign requirements adopted pursuant to this Regulation, the power to adopt acts in accordance with Article 290 TFEU should be delegated to the Commission to supplement this Regulation by laying down conformity assessment procedures that are appropriate and proportionate to the nature of the product concerned and of the product parameters regulated. To ensure consistency with other Union law, the conformity assessment procedures should be chosen from among those of the internal production control module included in this Regulation and of the modules included in Decision No 768/2008/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council (48), ranging from the least stringent to the most stringent. To further ensure that the applicable module is appropriate and proportionate to the nature of the product concerned and of the product parameters regulated, the Commission should, where necessary, adapt the module chosen accordingly.
