10. The Commission, after receiving information pursuant to a request for information referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2, shall: only use the information in a manner that is compatible with the purpose for which the information was requested; ensure, insofar as the processing of personal data is necessary, the implementation of technical and organisational measures that preserve the confidentiality and integrity of the requested information, in particular personal data, and that safeguard the rights and freedoms of data subjects; erase the information as soon as it is no longer necessary for the stated purpose and inform the economic operator and the relevant competent authority of the Member State concerned without undue delay that the information has been erased, unless archiving of the information is required for transparency purposes in accordance with national law.
