3. The resolution tools are the following: the solvent run-off tool; the sale-of-business tool; the bridge undertaking tool; the asset and liability separation tool; the write-down or conversion tool. Resolution authorities may apply the resolution tools individually or in any combination, except for the asset and liability separation tool, which shall be applied only in combination with another resolution tool.
