The company plays a vital role in connecting Russia with Asia and the Middle East, offering services for general, chemical and petroleum cargo. FESCO is a State-controlled company. Its shares were controlled by the Russian Government and were then transferred to a State corporation specialising in nuclear energy. That integration has secured FESCO long-term contracts, such as its status as sole logistics operator for a nuclear power plant in Turkey.
