For vehicles falling within the scope of Directive 2000/53/EC that have been made available on the market before 13 August 2026, and by way of derogation from the first subparagraph, point (a), and paragraph 2 of this Article, in Member States where, in accordance with Article 5(4), second subparagraph, of Directive 2000/53/EC, the producers did not have to meet all but only a significant part of the costs, the financial contributions that the producer of those vehicles has to make shall correspond to a level constituting a significant part of the costs referred to therein.
