Definition and further description of Annex III to WFD

Annex III to the WFD defines HP 11 ‘Mutagenic’ as: ‘waste which may cause a mutation, that is a permanent change in the amount or structure of the genetic material in a cell’ The WFD further explains that: ‘When a waste contains a substance classified by one of the following hazard class and category codes and hazard statement codes and exceeds or equals one of the following concentration limits shown in Table 8 [see Table 19 of this document], the waste should be classified hazardous according to HP 11.
