Definition and further description of Annex III to WFD

Annex III to the WFD defines HP 9 ‘Infectious’ as: ‘waste containing viable micro-organisms or their toxins which are known or reliably believed to cause disease in man or other living organisms.’ The WFD further explains that: ‘The attribution of HP 9 shall be assessed by the rules laid down in reference documents or legislation in the Member States.’
