| 190. | The Commission has adopted a decision (178) on criteria and methodological standards for each of the eleven descriptors for the determination of good environmental status by Member States (179). The following are all relevant to the determination and achievement of good environmental status: ‘criteria elements’ (180); threshold values (181) for each criterion (182); quality levels (183); the extent to which threshold values have been and are to be achieved (184); and indicative lists of characteristics, pressures and impacts (185). The interrelationship between these is also important (186).
