(180) These are defined in Article 2(4) of Decision (EU) 2017/848 as ‘constituent elements of an ecosystem, particularly its biological elements (species, habitats and their communities), or aspects of pressures on the marine environment (biological, physical, substances, litter and energy), which are assessed under each criterion’.
