§3.1.3 Information ‘already apparent from the context’

For on-premises contracts, Article 5 allows traders not to provide information that is ‘already apparent from the context’. The concept of information ‘already apparent from the context’ is also used in Article 7(2) of the UCPD (52). For example, trader’s geographical address and identity could be considered as ‘obvious or apparent from the context’, as the consumers would normally know the address of a shop or restaurant that they are in.
