(291) Notably, under Article 6(c) of this Regulation, the display of labels, marks, symbols or inscriptions which do not comply with the requirements of the Regulation is prohibited, if it is likely to mislead or confuse customers with respect to the consumption of energy or other resources. Under Article 3(1), information relating to the consumption of electric energy, other forms of energy and, where relevant, other essential resources during use shall be brought to the attention of end-users by means of a product information sheet and a label related to products offered for sale, hire, hire-purchase or displayed to end-users by any means of distance selling, including the Internet.
