COMMISSION NOTICE – Guidance on the interpretation and application of Directive 2005/29/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning unfair business-to-consumer commercial practices in the internal market · European Union

(39) Directive (EU) 2018/1972 establishing the European Electronic Communications Code requires the provision of contractual information on various aspects, depending on the type of electronic communications service. The requirements are set in Article 102 and Annex VIII and include, among other aspects, information about the minimum service quality levels, the type of maintenance offered and any compensation and refund arrangements which apply if the service contracted does not meet quality levels. A contract summary is to be provided separately, the template for the contract summary is set in a Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/2243 of 17 December 2019 establishing a template for the contract summary to be used by providers of publicly available electronic communications services pursuant to Directive (EU) 2018/1972 of the European Parliament and of the Council (OJ L 336, 30.12.2019, p. 274).
