In the case of lifts, there are no importers or distributors as lifts only come into existence as finished products once they have been installed in buildings or constructions. Consequently, lifts are only placed on the market by the installer when, after installation and completion of the applicable conformity assessment procedure, affixing of the CE marking and issuance of the Declaration of Conformity, they are supplied for use.
