(347) National measures against the spread of Covid-19 have recently given rise to a preliminary reference by a national court before the Court (case C-206/22), the question being whether the obligation to grant paid annual leave is fulfilled if, during an authorised period of leave, the worker concerned is affected by an unforeseeable event such as government-ordered quarantine. The Court has not yet ruled on that case.
