§6 CONCLUSIONS

The Commission will further develop its interpretation of the concept of relevant product and geographic market in its case practice, taking into account developments in the markets and in competition dynamics, evolutions in best practices in market definition and in line with the case law of the Union Courts. 115. The Commission’s interpretation of the concept of ‘relevant market’ in this Notice is without prejudice to the interpretation given to the concept by the Union Courts in individual cases. 116. This Notice supersedes the 1997 Commission Notice on the definition of relevant market for the purposes of Community competition law (166).
