(86) The Commission recalls that such AI systems could constitute prohibited practices under Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, if they exploit vulnerabilities of children in a manner that causes or is reasonably likely to cause significant harm. Any measures taken according to this recommendation should go beyond measures taken to prevent the application of that prohibition. The supervision and enforcement of measures taken to comply with Article 50(1) of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 remains the responsibility of the competent authorities under that Regulation.
