Schedule A1, Part 2, paragraph 3(2)

A person shall not be appointed to the panel of chairmen unless he— satisfies the judicial-appointment eligibility condition on a 5-year basis; is an advocate or solicitor in Scotland of at least five years' standing; or is a member of the Bar of Northern Ireland, or a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Northern Ireland, of at least five years' standing.
