Section 28B(1)

Where Natural England are of the opinion that if land adjacent to a site of special scientific interest (“the extra land”) were combined with the site of special scientific interest (“the SSSI ”), the combined area of land would be of special interest by reason of any of its flora, fauna, or geological or physiographical features, Natural England may decide to notify that fact.
