The rights in relation to an existing literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work do not apply— where copyright first vested in the author, to anything which by virtue of an assignment of copyright made or licence granted before commencement may be done without infringing copyright; where copyright first vested in a person other than the author, to anything done by or with the licence of the copyright owner.
