Schedule 2, paragraph 11

CDPA 1988

Where the doing of a particular act is specifically authorised by an Act of Parliament, whenever passed, then, unless the Act provides otherwise, the doing of that act does not infringe the rights conferred by this Chapter . Sub-paragraph (1) applies in relation to an enactment contained in Northern Ireland legislation as it applies to an Act of Parliament. Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed as excluding any defence of statutory authority otherwise available under or by virtue of any enactment. Expressions used in this paragraph have the same meaning as in section 50.
