Schedule 5, paragraph 15

In section 53(2) of the Patents Act 1977 (compulsory licensing: reliance on statements in reports of Monopolies and Mergers Commission)— for “application made in relation to a patent under sections 48 to 51 above” substitute “application made under section 48 above in respect of a patent”; and after “Part VIII of the Fair Trading Act 1973” insert “or section 17 of the Competition Act 1980”.
