The performer of a qualifying performance has a right which is infringed if— with any distortion, mutilation or other modification that is prejudicial to the reputation of the performer. the performance is broadcast live, or by means of a sound recording the performance is played in public or communicated to the public, This section has effect subject to section 205G (exceptions to right).
