Schedule 7, paragraph 5(1)

The committee shall— as the Secretary of State may with the approval of the Treasury determine. pay to the chairman such remuneration and allowances; and pay such pension, allowance or gratuity to or in respect of the chairman or make such payments towards the provision of such pension, allowance or gratuity;
