Section 141(5A)

In subsection (5)(g), “the prescribed term” means— in relation to England and Wales, where the offence is a summary offence, 51 weeks; in relation to England and Wales, where the offence is triable either way, the general limit in a magistrates’ court; in relation to Scotland and Northern Ireland, six months.
