Section 44ZC(1)

It shall be the duty of a local authority— to endeavour to carry out its waste management functions in accordance with its approved integrated waste management plan; and if requested by the Scottish Ministers, to provide the Scottish Ministers, by the date specified in their request, with a statement setting out whether the local authority is so carrying out its waste management functions.
