Section 158(6)

In this section— “registered land” has the same meaning as in the Land Registration Act 2002; and “successor”, in relation to an agreement with the owner of any land, means a person deriving title or otherwise claiming under that owner, otherwise than in right of an interest or charge to which the interest of the owner was subject immediately before the following time, that is to say— where the land is not registered land, the time when the agreement was made; and where the land is registered land, the time when the notice of the agreement was registered.
