Section 45B(1)

A trade union shall secure that a person does not at any time hold a position in the union to which this section applies if— within the period of five years immediately preceding that time he has been convicted of an offence under subsection (1) or (5) of section 45, or within the period of ten years immediately preceding that time he has been convicted of an offence under subsection (4), (7), (8) or (9) of that section.
